Residents Invited to Share Views at North Tyneside Transport Forum on 16 July

People who use public transport across North Tyneside are being encouraged to attend the next North Tyneside Transport Forum and have their say on local transport services.

The forum provides a valuable opportunity for residents to hear directly from transport providers, learn about upcoming developments and share constructive feedback on how public transport connects communities across the borough.

At the July meeting, attendees will receive an update on smart ticketing through the Pop card, alongside the latest news from local bus operators, Metro services and Nexus. There will also be time for discussion, giving residents the chance to raise questions, highlight concerns and suggest improvements.

The meeting will take place on Thursday 16 July 2026, from 6pm to 7.30pm, at North Shields Library & Community Hub, Northumberland Square, North Shields, NE30 1QU.

There is no need to pre-book, and everyone interested in public transport is welcome to attend. The venue is conveniently located just a five-minute walk from North Shields Metro station and Transport Hub.

For further information about the forum, contact John Cram, Integrated Transport Officer, at john.cram@northtyneside.gov.uk.
